PHS--#68 in the Country!

Konrad's alma mater, Reed College, opted out of the US News and World Report college listings with much fanfare years ago, but Piedmont High made the grade in the magazine's recent "Top 100 Public High Schools" list.

The cohort included all those magnet, charter and academy schools--in fact winner Thomas Jefferson High School in Northern Virginia received kudos for "picking top students and feeding their passions."

Of Bay Area schools, only Piedmont High, Mission San Jose High (Fremont), Monte Vista High (Cupertino), Palo Alto High, Saratoga High and Lynbrook High (San Jose) were among the Top 100; our usual competitors in Lamorinda, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Alameda, Albany, and Danville all merited Silver status.
